Krishnamurti on the observer and the observed

Krishnamurti on the observer and the observed

Q: Is there a difference between the observer and the observed?
We are so conditioned, so heavily burdened with the past, with all our knowledge, information how can the mind be spontaneous? Can the mind observe its activity without prejudice, which means without images?
When there is a division between the observer and the observed there is conflict but when the observer is the
observed there is no control, no suppression. The self comes to an end. Duality comes to an end. Conflict comes to an end.
This is the greatest meditation to come upon this extraordinary thing for the mind to discover for itself the observer is the observed.

Consciousness is the motor of evolution

Consciousness is the motor of evolution. The whole evolutionary process, according to Teilhard, is an evolution of consciousness. 24 As consciousness evolves, so does the universe. When the level of our awareness changes, we start attracting a new reality. Because consciousness brings with it a new horizon of meaning, it creates differences. When Jesus of Nazareth appeared in public announcing a new consciousness of God's presence, he became at odds with his fellow Jews; when he forgave sins in the temple or picked corn on the Sabbath, he challenged the Jewish consciousness of God and the Torah. Because consciousness emerges out of the deepest personal center of being, it cannot be suppressed or annihilated; it must show itself by its very evolutionary nature.

WE ARE

The new science today directs us away from speaking of God as ontological "being," distinct from the world, and orients us to think of God as God-Creator, whose I AM is integrally related to WE ARE: love within love, wholes within wholes. Our existence is God's existence, and to the extent that we truly live, God lives. Without our participation in birthing the divine mystery, God remains a beggar in the cosmos. The evolution of God on planet earth requires our participation in love. We can no longer assume that the God of the medieval cosmos is "up there," hovering over us as a great divine parent. God is within us and is brought to birth by us.

implicate order

David Bohm's idea of implicate order holds promise for a new understanding of being, primarily because it upholds the primacy of order as a function of relationship. As we indicated in the last chapter, Bohm's system builds on several fundamental ideas that include the constitutive relationality of the universe, the relationality of being, and the endless depth of being, what he calls unified wholeness in constant movement. Bohm indicates that every particle is actually a manifestation of the whole and that nothing can be understood except within the context of the whole. When it comes to theology we must ask: What is God in relation to the whole? If nothing can be understood apart from interactions in the whole, how do we understand God and creation? What if we were to view God and creation not as two orders of being but simply as a conceptual order of being that is thoroughly interrelated?

HEART SUTRA

HEART SUTRA - Chapter 01. English Version by Edward Conze

form is emptiness and the very emptiness is form ;
emptiness does not differ from form, form does not differ from emptiness, whatever is emptiness, that is form,
the same is true of feelings, perceptions, impulses, and consciousness.
Here, O Sariputra,
all dharmas are marked with emptiness ;
they are not produced or stopped, not defiled or immaculate, not deficient or complete.
Therefore, O Sariputra,
in emptiness there is no form nor feeling, nor perception, nor impulse, nor consciousness ;
No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind ; No forms, sounds, smells, tastes, touchables or objects of mind ; No sight-organ element, and so forth, until we come to :
No mind-consciousness element ; There is no ignorance, no extinction of ignorance, and so forth, until we come to : There is no decay and death, no extinction of decay and death. There is no suffering, no origination, no stopping, no path.
There is no cognition, no attainment and no non-attainment.

J Krishnamurti notes

Passion. Quality of Energy not dependent on anything - Right place of passion and freedom. Relationship to sorrow. Quality of mind when sorrow is completely understood and significance is understood. Quality of energy not dependent on anything. Physical and psychological pain not to be registered. Not to interfere with clarity of mind. We get used to our environment, to suffering and sorrow and conflict. End of sorrow is ending of me. Capture, understand sorrow. Do not run away from it. From sorrow comes passion.

Karma

If you'd like to know what you would reap in next life,
Just look at whatever you have done in your daily life.
If you'd like to know what you had done in your past life,
Just look at what you have reaped it in your everyday life.

And if you'd like to change your karma or your personality, try to practice what is said in the following verse:

Do not do anything bad to yourself and anyone else;
Do anything good to yourself and everyone;
Keep you mind clear and pure day and night.
This is what the Buddha teaches.
The Buddha-nature is really empty, open, vast, immense, and limitless. There is not a thing in there. How can there be a past, a present, or a future. These are only concepts created by mind thinking, therefore, they are not real things.
Unfortunately, in these days, there are several persons created a theory of the "present moment" and then invoked people try to cling to it. This looks like they put a pole in the space and call people watch it, grasp it as possible as they can. For me, it seems that their followers look like some kind of cows tied to the pole with the invisible ropes, and just see the pole only. How pity they are!

truth contd.

whatever ideas that you have agreed to are your truth.
They will remain your truth until new ideas and thoughts enter into your mind,
and as you find agreement with them they slowly, imperceptibly become truth.
It does not change or alter the truth, for the truth is unchangeable.
Only our understanding changes.
This is your truth and not everyone will agree with you.
Your truth may not find agreement with even your most loved ones.
They have their own truth. and their agreement or disagreement may or may not alter
your truth, but their disagreement may never diminish it.
Their agreement doesn't make it less or more real or less or more true,
anymore than your agreement with them validates their truth.
This does not mean there is not an ultimate truth, an ultimate reality and our
truth should not be confused with this ultimate truth that is beyond our understanding,
even beyond our comprehension.
We only drink from its well.
We are not the well.
As you continue to drink let it bring new awareness and be open to it.
Continue to grow in the truth. Do not be diminished by your perceptions of truth.

truth

truth is to be sought, not known
one can drink from its well,
but never drain its contents.
one who thinks they posses the truth
is only looking at the ladle, and not the lake.

Grandfather, I am sending a voice!       To the Heavens of the universe, I am sending a voice;       That my people may live!

for he may remain silent with his whole attention directed to the Great Spirit or to one of His Powers. He must always be careful lest distracting thoughts come to him, yet he must be alert to recognize any messenger which the Great Spirit may send to him, for these people often come in the form of an animal, even one as small and as seemingly insignificant as a little ant.

we regard all created beings as sacred and important, for everything has a wochangi or influence which can be given to us, through which we may gain a little more understanding if we are attentive.

and although we may think that we are going away from Him, sooner or later we and all things must return to Him.

Although this star did not really speak to me, yet it taught me very much.

as I was walking down the road on a dark, moonless light I noticed a glimmering light. As I walked in the fields and off the road the light seemed brighter and more clear, and the farther I walked, the more I noticed the light. It was then, that I realized it had always been that way.
